Dr. Tushar Kohli

Dr. Tushar Kohli is a Gold Medalist orthopaedic surgeon at Hari Ram Kohli Memorial Hospital, Dehradun. He completed his MBBS and MS Orthopaedics from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), University of Delhi, followed by DNB Orthopaedics, and has been practising orthopaedics since 2012. His areas of work include arthroscopy and sports injury surgery, joint replacement, fracture and trauma surgery, shoulder surgery, and minimally invasive endoscopic spine surgery. He received focused training in arthroscopy and sports injury management at the Sports Injury Centre, Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. His arthroscopy work includes ACL and PCL reconstruction, meniscus repair, shoulder arthroscopy, Bankart repair for recurrent shoulder dislocation, and rotator cuff repair. He completed a fellowship in joint replacement at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, with further fellowships and training programmes in Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. His joint replacement work includes total knee replacement, total hip replacement, Direct Anterior Approach hip replacement, and reverse shoulder replacement in selected patients. He has also participated in trauma and shoulder training programmes in Thailand, along with further academic and surgical training in complex trauma, shoulder surgery and minimally invasive orthopaedic techniques. His spine work includes endoscopic procedures such as UBE and TFE for selected cases of disc prolapse, sciatica and lumbar stenosis. His approach focuses on careful diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, clear patient counselling, appropriate surgical and non-surgical options, rehabilitation and structured follow-up.
